Why present at the Educator Scholar Summit?
We want to hear what you’ve been exploring in your learning and teaching practice, whether you are an experienced academic or starting out as a sessional. Tell us how it is working by presenting at the Educator Scholar Summit. It doesn’t need to be a fully realised piece of research but by presenting it at the conference you might find the spirit and support to turn it into one.
What is the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)?
There are varying definitions but put simply:
In order to have a better understanding of learning, educators undertake the systematic investigation of teaching and learning in higher education, apply what they have learnt and importantly, share this knowledge with their peers.
Why attend the Educator Scholar Summit?
Sometimes it’s hard to find the time to get out of the office/classroom but hearing the amazing things your colleagues are doing is time well spent.
While we all teach different subjects, we’re all teaching students. Find out what you and your colleagues have in common. Find some new things to try, re-energise your practice!
Hosted by the Learning and Teaching Office.
