Abstract
The Year of the Eucharist formally draws to a conclusion with the end of the Synod of Bishops being held in Rome through October 2005. After a year of nearly sixteen months many people are making observations about what happens beyond the Synod. The fundamental question is whether all efforts at growth and formation peter out at this time or do the efforts continue? How this question is answered can vary considerably according to the way different people see the issues.
