Description
The vision of the Indigenous Marathon Project is to promote healthy lifestyles to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Each year, a group of young people are selected from around Australia to compete in the New York Marathon, the biggest marathon event in the world.
Recently, Adrian travelled from Broome Pindan to compete in, and conquer, the World’s Coolest Marathon at the North Pole. He was the first Aboriginal person and member of the Indigenous Marathon Project team to take part in the marathon, running the 42 kilometer event in minus 38 degree Celsius temperatures. Adrian will share his story and tell how this experience changed his life and health and how he has risen to the challenge on many existing and new fronts.
