About this event
The Talking Heads Seminar Series was first established in 2014 at the Nulungu Research Institute as a space for showcasing prominent local and visiting research on a range of topics relevant to the Kimberley region. Speakers are drawn from the local community, Aboriginal representative organisations, national and international universities, government and industry. The seminars provide insight into the ‘hot topics’ affecting our region, with an aim to fostering a shared understanding of local knowledge and research outcomes, encouraging robust public discussions, and providing a unique opportunity for community networking. Researchers and community project managers from far and wide are invited each year to present their work to a public audience, either on the Broome Campus or via Zoom. The seminars are held fortnightly between the months of April and October during the mid-week lunch-time slot of 12:30pm. The seminars comprise a 45 minute presentation with a 15 minute Q&A.
