Description

In this talk, Willi will outline some of his emerging ideas from 18-months of fieldwork, including the representation of Aboriginal futures through media. By working collaboratively on production teams, Willi engages current tensions and paradoxes of contemporary Aboriginality found embedded within the daily practices of diverse video projects. In following the social life cycles of video projects as they travel from remote communities to national festivals, he aims to help understand the changing stakes of self-representation amidst the mass defunding of Aboriginal communities and organizations.
