Description
In order to begin any research with Aboriginal people, there are important protocols to follow. In the Kimberley region, for example, there are several ethics committees and pre-ethics processes that researchers may need to navigate. Alternatively, researchers may negotiate research agreements directly with native title holders (PBCs). This panel discussion will bring together representatives from three different bodies to open a dialogue about what ethical research with Aboriginal communities looks like, how to know which process or committee best suits your research, and how to best navigate the respective processes to ensure a smooth progression of your ethics application.
