Abstract

The Sisters of Life from New York City are returning to The University of Notre Dame Australia this week for their second annual women's retreat on the Sydney Campus. Female staff, students and friends of the University are invited to attend the retreat day.

The event will be held on Thursday 13 December at the Broadway Site, between 9.15am and 4.00pm.

Jessica Langrell, Student Chaplaincy Convenor at Notre Dame said the Sisters' vibrancy and energy inspired all those they made contact with.

"The Sisters of Life demonstrate to young women that you can have a theological calling and live a life that's joyful and liberated," Ms Langrell said.

"The inaugural women's retreat, which was held at Notre Dame for the first time in 2011, attracted over 300 women of all ages. We are looking forward to welcoming many more to the Campus this week and know that the Sisters of Life will continue to energise and guide the women who attend, through discussions about femininity and how to deepen the faith of women, wives, mothers, daughters and sisters."

The event, titled, "Behold, I make all things new," brings to a close a whirlwind visit to Sydney for the Sisters of Life. The women's retreat will include Mass and Adoration and a number of talks by the Sisters and Fr Greg Morgan. Complimentary morning and afternoon tea will be provided, with lunch supplied by donation.

Registration is essential for the event. To register, or for more information regarding the retreat, please contactsydney.chaplaincy@nd.edu.au.
