Abstract
The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Vice Chancellor, Dr Peter Tannock, welcomed Mrs Mary ‘Mimi” McCallum to the Fremantle Campus on Friday 8 September.
Mrs McCallum is the wife of the newly appointed American Ambassador to Australia, Mr Robert McCallum. They are currently touring Australia and Mrs McCallum, who had heard of Notre Dame, was particularly keen to visit the Campus.
As an Art History graduate, she was particularly interested in the buildings which house the University and the University’s extensive indigenous art collection.
Whilst at Notre Dame she met with Student Association representatives and visiting American lecturer, Professor Jeff Miller who is here with his family for a semester. She also took the opportunity to meet with a number of Study Abroad students who are participating in an exchange program at Notre Dame.
