Abstract
The Sydney Campus of the University of Notre Dame Australia will hold its annual Open Day on Saturday 26 August 2006, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The day offers an opportunity for prospective students and their families to visit the beautifully restored and centrally located Notre Dame campus at inner-city Broadway, and to experience the dynamics of a modern university.
Academics from Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Law, Medicine and Nursing will be available to discuss academic courses and career opportunities.
Notre Dame Sydney’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Peter Glasson, says visitors will hear talks about the range of courses, engage in interactive activities – theatre sports, communications and nursing demonstrations, and may seek academic and professional guidance from staff.
‘Foundation year students will host tours of the Campus.
‘We are confident of attracting high quality academic students who espouse the University’s Catholic values’, Mr Glasson said.
In 2008 Notre Dame will commence a medicine degree at Darlinghurst (subject to accreditation from the Australian Medical Council), which will be the first private medical course offered in eastern Australia.
