Abstract

One of the prime events on The University of Notre Dame Australia’s sporting calendar, The West End Dash, is on again on Thursday March 17, from noon until 1pm and the local community is invited to join in.

Events include male and female 110m sprints, the three-legged race and a corporate relay. The day is being organised by third year health and physical education students as part of their course.

Health & Physical Education Student Dominique Pruiti said, “It’s a great way for students and the local community to interact, engage in physical activity and have some fun. We’d really like to see people from local businesses participate as well as the Notre Dame students.”

Prizes have kindly been donated by sponsors including Little Creatures Brewery, Rosie O’Grady’s Fremantle and the Warehouse Gym.

Legendary footballer Dale Kickett will also be at the event to present prizes to the winners.

The West End Dash will be run on High Street, between Henry and Cliff Streets. The street will be closed from 11am until 2pm for the event.

Entry into the West End Dash is $3 and can be made by calling Dave McLean on 9433 0585 or on the day, prior to the event.
