Abstract
The University of Notre Dame Australia has created a partnership with all primary and secondary schools in Fremantle to train and develop education students in their preparation to become teachers.
Manager of the Education Professional Practice Program Rebecca Harris said, “We value this partnership with the local schools which will add to a higher level of professionalism and also assist in supporting and guiding our students”.
“The University thanks them for the role that they will play in preparing Western Australia’s future teachers,” she said.
Notre Dame has a strong reputation for its emphasis on classroom practice. Undergraduate students complete a total of thirty two weeks placement in the school context. It is this feature of the program that makes the Notre Dame Education degree unique.
