Abstract

The Broome Campus library has benefited from a generous donation from Kimberley MLA Mrs Carol Martin and her husband Brian Martin.

The couple have donated hundreds of books from their personal library to the Campus. The books cover a range of topics and titles and include some first editions.

There are also a number of charts, maps and reports pertaining to the Kimberley region and many of these are rare.

Broome Campus librarian, Jill Skinner, said the Broome Campus was extremely grateful to Mr and Mrs Martin for this kind donation.

She said the items would add to the unique collection already on the Campus' shelves.

“These newest additions to the library will not only help students studying at Notre Dame, but also students and staff from Broome Senior High School, St Mary’s College and Kimberley College of TAFE, who have access to the Broome Campus library,” Mrs Skinner said.

Members of the public and students from other Australian universities are also encouraged to access these resources.
