Abstract

The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Sydney Campus’ Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hayden Ramsay, recently spoke to over 500 young people for Theology on Tap (TOT) at PJ’s Gallagher’s Irish Pub, Parramatta. He spoke on ethical matters, including the seven deadly sins.

The TOT series started in August last year as a forum for young people of Sydney to meet and discuss Catholic issues in an informal atmosphere.

Professor Ramsay said, “This was one of the largest audiences of young people I have spoken to and they listened in complete silence. The event is an enormous credit to the organisers and to all who take part.”

Notre Dame Law student and TOT committee member, Patrick Langrell, said this recent event was a huge success.

“Professor Ramsay was awesome, his ability to show the dynamic and profound relationship that exists between faith and reason was an inspiration to so many of us young people who are surrounded by a culture that always seems to pit faith against reason.”

“Theology on Tap is a fun way for young people to reconnect with the Church. All we hope is that people leave more inspired to witness their faith in every aspect of their lives,” said Mr Langrell.
