Abstract
The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Centre for Faith Ethics and Society will be hosting a public discussion with business ethicist and leadership coach, Dr Mary Gentile, on Thursday 24 February.
Dr Gentile’s focus is on real life experience and ethical action, and as such, this discussion aims to address the questions: ‘What if I were going to act on my values? What would I say and do? How could I be most effective?’
This is a free event and will take place at 6.30pm in St Benedict’s Hall at the Broadway Campus on the corner of Broadway and Abercrombie Street and will be followed by drinks and light snacks in the courtyard.
Dr Gentile is the Creator and Director of Giving Voice to Values, an innovative curriculum for developing the skills, knowledge and commitment required to implement values-based leadership. She is also Senior Research Scholar at Babson College, Massachusetts. From 1985 to 1995, she worked at Harvard Business School as a faculty member, researcher and administrator and has since operated as an independent consultant.
Dr Gentile works with corporate, non-profit and academic institutions in a number of areas. These include curriculum development, executive coaching, issue definition and strategy related to leadership development, social impact management, ethics, business education and diversity. She has authored numerous books and articles, including Giving Voice to Values: How to Speak Your Mind When You Know What’s Right, from Yale University Press.
