Abstract
The release of the 2010 edition of the Good Universities Guide to Australian Universities and Private Colleges has seen The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) awarded 5 star ratings for the third year in a row in the following areas:
Teaching Quality, Graduate Satisfaction, Getting a Job, Positive Graduate Outcomes, Generic Skills, Gender Balance.
The guide, now in its 18th edition, rates a university’s performance on a broad range of indicators.
Notre Dame has over 8,000 students on its campuses in Fremantle, Sydney and Broome. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Celia Hammond, said she was delighted with the ratings the University has received from this highly influential publication. She said that these ratings were largely due to our outstanding and committed staff and evidences the student focus which underpins all University activities.
“The consistency of these significant results reflects the 100% commitment to pastoral care and the value we place on each individual student. Pastoral care is at the heart of the University’s Objects which are: the provision of university education, within a context of Catholic faith and values; and the provision of an excellent standard of - teaching, scholarship and research; training for the professions; and pastoral care for its students.”
