Abstract
Recent retrospective studies show that the International Academy of Cytology Yokohama system can improve breast fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) reporting by the use of its categories, standardized reports, and key diagnostic cytopathological features. The system is providing an impetus for further research in breast FNAB, which should focus on contentious areas.
