This year there will be several award winner categories for abstracts, presentations and posters.
Best Abstract - Elizabeth Kent
Each abstract was judged by each of organising committee members and the NDA community and consumer representative using a review rubric. The scoring criteria included importance of the research, strength and appropriateness of methods, strength and appropriateness of results, conclusions and implications, quality of writing, and quality of consumer and community involvement. The winner represents the highest rated abstract overall.
Best Oral Presentation - Nameer Van Oosterom
Each eligible oral presentation was judged by a panel of three senior research NDA academics from each of our three campuses. Presenters self nominated to be considered. Keynotes were not eligible. The winner represents the highest ranked presentation overall.
Consumer and Community Involvement Awards
Certificate of Excellence: Fiona Orr and Katherine Gill
Runners-up: Shannen Vallesi and Venessa Poelina & Ian Perdrisat
Best Poster - Hope Kachila (Fremantle) and Ashleigh Habkouk & Ekavi Georgousopoulou (Sydney)
Each eligible poster was judged by researchers attending each respective campus. On sign in, each attendee was given two dots to award to the two posters they considered to be the best overall. The winner represents the poster with the highest overall dot count.
