Abstract
The purpose of this article is to clarify language that is loosely used and claimed in the restorationist literature when talking about Catholic worship. Frequently, the phrases: "Latin Mass", "The Mass of Pius V", "The Tridentine Mass", and "The Traditional Mass" are all used as if they are the same reality, usually in distinction from "The Novus Ordo", "The Mass of Paul VI" or "Today's Mass". What happened to the Roman Rite?
