Abstract
Underpinning nursing education is the notion that the registered nurse and the profession have an obligation to improve healthcare delivery while supporting individuals, their families and communities in making healthcare decisions. The Bachelor of Nursing course has been designed to provide an education that will develop and support students to practise as competent professionals in a variety of healthcare environments. The length and quality of the clinical experience is essential to this process and has been designed to develop and consolidate the application of theory to practice which is essential in preparing students for the clinical environment and work as registered nurses.
