Outstanding results for Science Student

Michelle Ebbs, University of Notre Dame Australia

Abstract

Bachelor of Science (Environmental Biology) graduate, James Campbell-Everden’s outstanding academic record was recognised at Notre Dame’s mid-year Graduation ceremony where he was acknowledged as the Valedictorian.

James began his studies in Science in Semester 1, 2004. Over the next three years he achieved Distinctions and High Distinctions in all of his 18 graded units of study.

Following the completion of the coursework component of his Science degree he has worked as a part-time laboratory assistant at the University’s School of Arts and Sciences. His contribution to the development of the School’s Science programs has been highly valued by staff.

James said that he chose to come to Notre Dame because he wanted to be a part of the expanding Notre Dame community.

“I wanted an educational experience that provided for one-on-one contact with lecturers and small group learning, and was attracted to the fact that Notre Dame focuses on its graduates having morals and a general caring nature.”
