Abstract
The Australian Literacy Educators’ Association (ALEA) offers an annual award to a third year Early Childhood student who is studying at The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Fremantle Campus.
The Association who’s focus is on the improvement of literacy development and language learning, provides support and professional development to educators and others interested in literacy through international, national, state and regional conferences, workshops and seminars, journals, position papers and other publications.
The selection criteria for the award relates to showing a passion for teaching and learning in the specific area of literacy in the early years.
Loren Ferguson was this year’s recipient. She was presented with the award at the ALEA State Conference Dinner.
