Abstract

This title presents a collection of Psychological and Health-related assessment tools designed and developed in China. These instruments are formulated with a specific focus on their applicability and cultural appropriateness to Chinese in China in overseas and other Asians who may have a Chinese cultural heritage. Each chapter will introduce one specific tool with an exposition of the cultural background and beliefs underpinning the psychological or health issues under investigation. The methods and procedures on item and scale formation will be described in detail with results on studies on the psychometric properties and validation thoroughly presented. The original instrument will also be translated in English with a duel translation process and will also be included. This is the first attempt of a volume devoted to this specific purpose.
